EFCC releases former Borno governor, Ali Modu Sheriff on bail
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Thursday, granted bail to a former Borno State governor, Ali Modu Sheriff, who surrendered himself to the commission on Wednesday.
He was granted an administrative bail on Thursday evening, according to a source at the commission.
Mr. Sheriff had untill now shunned previous invitations by the EFCC but voluntarily handed himself on Wednesday and was promptly detained by the commission.
