Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel set to join UAE's Al Ain
Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan says John Obi Mikel will “definitely” be leaving Chelsea to join him at Al Ain this summer.
The Black Stars forward insists terms over a move have already been agreed by both parties.
Mikel is reported to have grown frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge, having started less than half of Chelsea’s Premier League games last season.
Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas - both signed within the last 18 months - were Jose Mourinho’s preferred pairing as Chelsea won the league title, and the Nigerian international now looks to be heading for the exit door.

“I heard it this week that he has agreed terms with Al Ain and will most definitely be playing for us next season,” Gyan told Metro TV.Credit: Nigerian Tribune
“Its great news for us because Mikel Obi is a very good player and very experienced.
“It will be exciting playing with him in the same team, because I believe both of us, with the help of our other colleagues, can do more for the club.”
