Gilberto Silva became the latest Arsenal old boy to train with the current crop of Gunners as he joined in the final session before the club's FA Cup Third Round clash with Tottenham on Saturday.

Silva, 37, left the club in 2008 after winning the Premier League and two FA Cups during his six years in north London.

The Brazilian is currently in his second spell with Atletico Mineiro in his homeland - returning 11 years after he left to join Arsenal - and helped the club win the Copa Libertadores last season.

Silva was at the Emirates last month to watch Arsenal beat Hull 2-0 and said he was confident Arsene Wenger's side can maintain their Premier League title challenge.
'I watched them against Hull and they played a really nice game and very good football,' he said.

'It's what we expect from them and I hope this year they can win the league.

'I'll be here cheering them on and supporting them from outside England.

'They have the chance this year because they are doing very well.'
Silva is the latest in a long line of former players to train with Wenger's side, following in the footsteps of Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Freddie Ljungberg and Sol Campbell.

This shows how great Arsene Wenger and Arsenal is - a family, a truly traditional club with traditional values. CLASS!
