Manchester United priced out of move for Brazilian teenage playmaker Lucas Moura

Lucas Moura's proposed move to Manchester United appears to be dead in the water — unless Alex Ferguson agrees to meet Sao Paulo's asking price of £30million.

Manchester United boss Ferguson is keen to add the 19-year-old Brazilian to his squad.

But Moura's agent Wagner Ribeiro has made it clear the offer on the table is below his client's valuation.

Ribeiro said: "United have reached their limit, they will not offer anything more.

"He will not leave and is happy in Sao Paulo. This matter has to be terminated, there is no possibility of him leaving now.

“Manchester United made an offer, which was refused, and will not do another because they came up to their limit.”
