Suspected Bomber Killed By Explosion In Kaduna

A bomb explosion at Ungwam Muazu, on the outskirts of Kaduna, on Sunday, killed a suspected bomber, leaving two others in a critical condition.

The injured persons were taken to an unknown destination for medical attention.

According to an eyewitness, the explosion occurred at about 7.00 p.m, when the suspected bomber drove from his house to an unknown place within the vicinity to plant an explosive device, as the device exploded on him, leaving him dead.

The area was immediately cordoned-off by security agents, while residents of the area scampered for safety.

According to the eye witness, “I heard a deafening sound on my way from the area. In fact, I can say that it was just by God’s grace that I left the area before hearing the sound. I was coming out of Ungwan Muazu when I heard the sound behind me. The bomb killed the person who carried it and injured two persons at the scene.”

Confirming the incident, the spokesman of the state police command, Aminu Lawan, said men of the anti-bomb squad of the command had been mobilised to the scene of the incident.
